Mudran Foundation is a not-for-profit public charitable trust established in 2020 to collect and preserve printing culture, heritage, practices and technology with special focus on Bengal. It was born out of the need for a concerted and professional approach to conservation of printing history generally absent in the field. The foundation is committed to contributing towards larger dialogues in printing, publishing and design, while translating widespread concerns into meaningful action.
We are a group of individuals who care deeply about the heritage and culture of printing. We have always felt the need for awareness about Bengal’s printing culture and dedicated action to conserve it. We come from various walks of life but one common thread that binds us is the love for printed material, the process and the people involved. We have expertise related to the field, which we are committing to bridge this gap in our heritage conservation. Financial profit is never the goal of this initiative – we welcome those who wish to contribute their time, energy to this cause, just like us.
